The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight round contest which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to promote next month's bout.
Former two-time unified boxing king Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth disparity - at Miami's venue on 19 December.
Fighter's Mentality
"I plan to damage his features and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my goal."
Respectful Exchange
Despite these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically famous for his theatrics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul instead criticized former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a match opportunity.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British rival Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he's present here," Joshua said.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Jake Paul's Background
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since becoming pro.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
Still, the novice remains one of the sport's greatest financial successes, regularly earning substantial financial rewards.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old anticipated a knockout win in rounds four or five and asserted he would derail the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.
"It will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul said.
Size Disparity
As both boxers met for the traditional confrontation, with their size difference on show, it emphasized just how surprising this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the match is actually happening.
